What were you doing before the BTS? What grade are you in? What kind of institution? (High school, CNED…)
I am in the second year of BTS Assurance apprenticeship, in a CFA, with a rhythm of one week in the company and one week of classes
Why did you choose the insurance world? What interests you?
What pushed me is the diverse range of professions found in insurance, a vast world with many opportunities.
Are you in apprenticeship or initial training? And what type of company are you in? (general agent, broker, mutual insurance)
Yes, I am in apprenticeship, at a brokerage.
What advice would you give to a student wanting to get into insurance studies?
I advise choosing apprenticeship, as it will quickly give you an idea of the profession and whether you like it or not.
Did you encounter any difficulties when you started? (in classes and in the company) Which ones?
Yes, in the company, because as an apprentice, we are sometimes treated a bit like slaves.
Do you think you will do insurance for your whole life? Why?
No, I would also like to explore the banking field.
Was there a big change between high school and the BTS?
Yes, a lot! I became more mature and have a lot of responsibilities.
Do you find the BTS difficult? Which subjects do you find hard? And why do you find them difficult?
I find the Economics and Law part difficult.
What type of student are you? (Not revising much but with ease, revising a lot, revising little…)
I am a student who revises little but has skills in certain subjects.
Do you have any advice for better learning your courses?
The key advice to better learn is to listen carefully in class and in the company.
If you continue your studies, what would you like to specialize in?
After my BTS, I plan to pursue a banking/insurance license to explore careers in the banking sector.
Do you already have an ideal career plan?
No, I don’t know, I don’t have one for now.
