What are you doing now? What was your educational path?
After obtaining my Baccalaureate, I decided to enroll in a BTS in INSURANCE, through work-study, with a brokerage company. I completed my BTS with an average of 12. Currently, I am pursuing a Professional Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance at a Faculty of Law, Economic Sciences, and Management.
Why did you choose the insurance industry? What interests you about it?
I discovered the world of insurance after completing an internship with a well-known company, and I was immediately interested, so I decided to pursue this path.
Are you in work-study or initial training? And what type of company are you in? (general agent, broker, mutual insurance company)
I’m starting my third year in work-study with an insurance brokerage company.
What advice would you give to a student wanting to pursue insurance studies?
I would advise them to learn the basics of insurance quickly but simply, so they can find their bearings.
Did you encounter any difficulties when you started? (in courses and at the company) Which ones?
Initially, it’s not always easy to keep up with courses and revisions; additionally, starting work-study isn’t easy, and it’s important to manage the rhythm.
Do you think you’ll do insurance all your life? Why?
Yes, I plan to build my professional future in the insurance field. There are thousands of careers, and it’s a very interesting and rewarding industry.
Was there a big change between high school and higher education?
Yes, naturally, the level evolves, but it remains enriching.
What did you find the hardest in your educational journey? (subjects, company integration…)
The most difficult part is following the most complex subjects; in a company, the integration process can sometimes be delicate.
What type of student are you? (not revising much with ease, studying a lot, studying little…)
I am a student who needs to read their courses regularly to learn.
Do you have any tips for better learning your courses?
You should read regularly, preferably in the evening.
If you continue your studies, what will you specialize in?
I would like to specialize in Insurance Law.
Do you already have an ideal career plan?
After my Bachelor’s degree, I hope that my level will allow me to pursue a Master’s, then become a Legal Expert in Mediation in Insurance, for example.
