Several options to complete your BTS Insurance
Initial Training
The BTS insurance is a level Bac+2 that allows you to professionalize through work-study. You have three options to complete a BTS Insurance.
The first is doing it as initial education, meaning you will attend classes all week. You will need to complete two internships, one in the first year lasting 7 weeks and one in the second year lasting 5 weeks.
Work-Study Program
The second possibility is to carry out your BTS Insurance as a work-study program, with the training schedule defined by the schools. For my part, my previous work-study schedule was 2 days of training and 3 days at the company.
When you are in a work-study program, you are considered an employee. So, you are entitled to the same benefits as other employees (meal vouchers, 13th month, activity bonus…).
However, you are still considered a student since you will have a student card and all the benefits of a student.
Mixing the Two
Finally, the last option is to mix the two previous options. That is, to do your first year as initial education and switch to a work-study program in the second year. It is also possible to do the reverse if you do not like work-study (it’s rarer, but it can be done).
Distance BTS Insurance with CNED
You can also complete your BTS insurance through CNED (distance learning courses). However, you need to be very organized and highly motivated to achieve your diploma. I recommend favoring schools for better support. You can read the testimonial of a student in BTS Insurance at CNED.
My Journey
I completed my BTS insurance with the third option. I chose this option because my company wanted me to acquire solid fundamentals while doing initial education. I was in initial education in the first year and then switched to a work-study in the second year to gain a truly professional perspective.

The first reason to choose a BTS Insurance is that the insurance field genuinely affects everyone. Everything you learn will be practical because you will see it in daily life.
If someone in your circle has questions about their insurance, you will be able to help them. This will allow you to apply your coursework by answering these questions.
Second Reason to Choose This Program
The second reason is that the BTS Insurance encompasses different profiles, regardless of your previous background. For example, in my class, there were all kinds of profiles—students with S, L, ES, vocational Bacs, and a large majority of STMG Bacs. Everyone managed to obtain their BTS.
Third Reason to Choose a BTS Insurance
The third reason will delight all those who dislike math. There are calculations to do, but they are not insurmountable because they are logical and can be applied in real life.
The types of calculations include determining daily allowances in case of sick leave, social security and mutual reimbursements, or calculating retirement pensions.
